The Defiance by Stanley Field Collector Checklist (Beta Version)

One of the most common questions I receive from collectors is:

“Do you have a checklist of Defiance tools?”

For years the answer was no.

As part of my ongoing work on The Complete Defiance by Stanley Tool Line Reference Guide (1929-1953), I have begun compiling what may become the most complete checklist of Defiance tools ever assembled.

This project is still a work in progress and should be considered a Beta Version. New tools, variations, and corrections will be added as additional research is completed.

The goal is simple:

Print it out, fold it up, stick it in your pocket, and take it with you to flea markets, antique malls, estate sales, auctions, and tool meets.

If you find a tool that isn’t on the list, or discover a variation not currently documented, please contact me. Collector contributions are always welcome.

AI Image Notice: This image was generated using artificial intelligence to illustrate the Defiance by Stanley Field Collector Checklist. No actual flea markets were harmed in its creation, and no rare Defiance tools were knowingly passed up while making it. The author cannot be held responsible if this checklist leads to spontaneous tool purchases, overflowing workshops, or an uncontrollable desire to search for undocumented model numbers.

AI Image Notice: The image above was generated using artificial intelligence and is intended for illustrative purposes only. At the time of publication, none of the tools shown have been positively identified as a Defiance No. 1202, a Defiance hand saw, or a left-handed reverse-threaded Canadian crowbar. Research is ongoing.
